Meet Linny

Hi everyone! I’m Lindsay, AKA Linny—the owner and operator of Linny’s Dog Gym. I’m proud to be a St. Mary’s County local, and I’ve spent the last several years working hands-on with dogs as a professional dog groomer at Bark and Bath Pet Salon.

With over five years of professional experience in pet care, I’ve come to understand the wide range of behavioral, physical, and emotional needs dogs have. Grooming gave me a strong foundation, but I knew I wanted to do more—especially for dogs like my own.

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, I began fostering a puppy through the bully breed rescue I was involved with. That foster quickly turned into a “foster fail” when I adopted Oliver (aka Ollie). As Ollie grew, he developed reactivity issues that made it difficult to bring him to traditional dog-friendly spaces. I knew I wasn’t the only pet parent facing this challenge.

At the same time, I was working toward my Small Business Entrepreneur Certificate through the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). During the program, I began developing a business plan centered around the idea of bringing structured exercise directly to dogs in a calm, controlled setting—and that’s when the vision for Linny’s Dog Gym came to life.

Fast forward four years, and I’m excited to officially launch Southern Maryland’s first mobile dog gym, offering slatmill sessions that are safe, low-impact, and tailored to each dog’s needs—right from your driveway.

Whether your pup needs to burn off energy, gain confidence, or just get moving again, I’m here to help make fitness accessible, fun, and fear-free. Thank you for supporting this small, local business. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog soon!
